[ 01 ] The Process

Five phases.
One smooth ramp.

We've designed every step to keep your team in control and out of the weeds. You tell us your goals — we handle the technical heavy lifting. No discovery projects. No architecture workshops. No scope creep.

The process is the same whether you're deploying one module at one site or rolling out across an entire portfolio.

01
Discovery Call

Tell us what's broken.
We'll show you the fix.

No RFP process. No 30-slide demo. A 45-minute conversation where we ask the right questions about your lines, your PLCs, and the specific problems keeping your OEE below where it should be.

We'll be specific. By the end of the call, you'll know exactly which module to start with, what the integration path looks like, and what a realistic first-90-days outcome looks like for your operation.

  • Environment snapshot — PLC brands, protocols, network topology
  • Priority module recommendation — OEE, Quality, or Materials, based on your biggest loss
  • Rough ROI estimate — based on your throughput and current performance data
  • Deployment timeline — specific dates, not ranges

Connection & Configuration

One device.
Instant visibility.

Our engineer installs a single edge device on your network — typically in an existing panel or control cabinet — and establishes the PLC connection using the protocols your controls team already owns. No new hardware licenses. No historian software.

From the first live tag, your team can see data in a browser. Configuration happens in a no-code interface: drag the tags you care about, set your thresholds, name your assets. Most plants are live within one shift.

  • Edge device installed — commodity hardware, your site, our software
  • PLC connection established — native protocol, read-only, no disruption to controls
  • First operator screen live — your team sees real data, same day
  • KPI configuration complete — OEE components, quality thresholds, or material signals

Operator Rollout

Adoption that
actually happens.

Most manufacturing software fails in the last mile — the gap between "installed" and "used." We close that gap with hands-on training built around your specific screens, your specific assets, and your actual shift teams.

We run training on your floor, on your equipment, with the operators and supervisors who will use the system daily. Not classroom sessions. Not video modules. Real walkthroughs where questions get answered in context.

  • On-site training sessions — operator, supervisor, and management tracks
  • Quick-reference cards — one-page guides for every role, printed and posted
  • Escalation playbook — what to do when an alert fires, who owns it, how it gets resolved
  • Adoption baseline — screen views, alert responses, data quality measured from week one

Optimization

Now we start
finding the losses.

Once your team trusts the data, the real work begins. Your dedicated success manager reviews the first 30-day performance record with your operations lead and identifies the three to five loss categories driving the biggest gap to your OEE target.

This is where the platform earns its keep. Not as a dashboard — as a decision tool. We help your team structure the response: which losses are mechanical, which are process, which are scheduling, and which can be addressed immediately with no capital spend.

  • 30-day performance review — full loss-tree analysis with your ops lead
  • Prioritized improvement list — ranked by impact, effort, and capital required
  • Alert tuning — thresholds adjusted based on actual operating patterns, not assumptions
  • Module expansion scoping — if OEE is live, now's the time to assess Quality or Materials

Ongoing Partnership

We stay.
Until the number moves.

Ninety days after go-live, we run a formal outcome review. The goal is simple: prove the ROI we estimated in the discovery call. If we hit it, we talk about expansion. If we missed, we own the gap and fix it.

After 90 days, your success manager remains a named contact — not a support ticket queue. Platform updates deploy automatically. Configuration changes happen in your browser. The only time you hear from us proactively is when we see something in your data worth acting on.

  • 90-day ROI review — documented outcomes against the original business case
  • Automatic platform updates — no upgrade projects, no change management overhead
  • Named success manager — your point of contact for the life of the engagement
  • Expansion roadmap — a prioritized plan for additional modules or additional sites

[ 02 ] Common Questions

Things people ask
before they commit.

What PLC brands do you support?
+
We connect natively to Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, and any OPC-UA compatible device. We also support Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet. If you're not sure whether your setup is compatible, send us the PLC model numbers — we'll tell you immediately.
Will this disrupt production during installation?
+
No. The edge device is installed on the network, not wired into the control cabinet. All connections are read-only by default. We connect as an additional client on the existing PLC network — no changes to the control program, no risk to production. Installation typically happens during a planned maintenance window, but it's not required.
What if our plant doesn't have great IT infrastructure?
+
Edge-first architecture was designed for exactly this scenario. The platform runs on local hardware you own, on the network you already have. We've deployed in plants with no cloud access, no managed network, and no on-site IT staff. If there's a PLC and a switch, we can work with it.
How does pricing work?
+
Flat site-based licensing. One number per site, regardless of how many tags you connect, screens you create, or users you add. No per-seat fees. No per-tag fees. No "enterprise tier" required to unlock basic features. We're happy to provide a specific number after a 20-minute scoping call.
What if we need to connect to our ERP or BI tools?
+
Standard egress is built in from day one. SQL, REST API, and MQTT are available at every tier. Most customers connect to Power BI, Tableau, or SQL Server for executive reporting. SAP and Oracle integrations are supported via REST. You own the data; we make it accessible without building a custom pipeline.
What happens if we want to add more modules later?
+
Each module runs on the same edge runtime, same PLC connection, same data model. Adding a module is a configuration exercise, not a new deployment project. Most customers go live with a second module in less than a week. Pricing scales at the site level — one flat increment per added module.

Still have questions?
We like those.

The best way to evaluate Veltrix is to bring us your hardest constraint — an unusual PLC stack, a tight network environment, a skeptical controls team — and see how we respond. We don't have a script for that. We have answers.

Our commitment

Every discovery call is with a technical person who can answer specific questions about your environment. No sales-only gatekeeping. No "I'll have to get back to you on that."
